We inspire beginnings to encourage outstanding futures

Vision

To operate an outstanding provision that consistently provides excellent standards of care and learning for each individual child within the Nursery setting inspiring curiosity and a love of learning.

To ensure a highly qualified staff and management team with outstanding continuous professional development will feed high quality practice into all rooms and encourage children to reach their full potential.

Our Intent, Implementation and Impact

We follow the EYFS framework, development matters to support our curriculum

It is the role of our setting and practitioners to support children in experiencing the awe and wonder of the world in which they live, through the seven areas of learning.

Children already come to us equipped with a backpack of knowledge, it is our responsibility to fill it some more preparing them for life.

Baby Room

Curious – Secure – Happy

We nurture our babies to ensure they are able to form strong, positive relationships with others, and feel safe and happy within our setting. We encourage them to be curious learners and support their learning through a holistic approach, a home from home environment and intensive interactions. We focus on schema’s and how a child learns, planning individually for every child’s needs. Our key person approach offers that strong emotional bond between the practitioner, child and their family. Parent partnership is at the root of all our learning as we understand that as Vygotsky said, parents and carers are a child’s first teacher.

Toddler Room

Confident – Creative – Resilient

Our child led approach gives our children choices to shape their own learning and our in the moment planning supports and encourages communication while supporting children’s learning at the time of their interest and curiosity. We recognise a child’s strengths and efforts, using regular praise to build confidence.

Preschool Room

Independent – Emotionally intelligent – A love for learning

We provide a safe space for our children to access when needed, giving them opportunities to regulate their own emotions using a comfy, distractive area. We use open ended, child led, interest planning to ensure children’s full engagement in learning at all times.

Our staff are there to role model and support our children in their decision making, teaching them how to think. We offer risky play opportunities to ensure children are learning to risk assess and keep themselves safe.

We implement our curriculum through a variety of well thought out activities. We use in the moment planning and follow the Childs lead and interests, extending and supporting when appropriate.

We believe that all children learn through play and practitioners need to provide high-quality interactions and enabling environments to ensure every child reaches their full potential. Our staff track their children’s development through regular observations linking to the EYFS development framework.

We are always available for a chat and can be reached via phone or email, we have morning and home time handovers, lots of stay & play sessions, parents evening twice a year and use online software called Blossom to keep you updated throughout the day.

Special Education Needs (SEN)

We believe every child has the right to reach their full potential and our special educational needs coordinator (SENCO) works closely with key people, parents and outside professionals to ensure your child is receiving the best support.

We support applications for additional funding where needed and will support parents just as much as their child.
The smallest steps make the biggest difference.
