Transporting children to and from school
We take the safely of children extremely seriously when transporting them to and from school.
We transport children in either our new 7 seater car or 9 seater mini bus. Our vehicles are fully insured for all our out of school and holiday club staff to use, staff driving licences are also checked to ensure they are qualified to drive vehicles. We also provide booster seats for any children that are under 12 years of age or under 135 cm in height.
Qualified members of staff will escort children to and from their schools and classrooms each day. When a child is booked into an out of school place, we will ask you to inform the school that we will be dropping off/picking up your child on the agreed days.
Our staff will carry a diary with them on each trip to and from school. If you have any messages that you would like us to pass onto the class teacher will use the diary to ensure the message is received. Likewise at pick up if the teacher has any message for you, we will record it in our diary and pass it on to you at home time.
Staff will be easily identified by the uniform they wear and will carry mobile phones in case of an emergency. A first aid kit will also be carried on the drop off and pick up journeys.
