Funding for 2 year olds
2 year old funding is available for families who are receiving some form of support.
Funding for 3 & 4 year olds – 15 hours
All 3 & 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours free funding each week for 38 weeks per year. Children are eligible the term after their their 3rd birthday.
Funding for 3 & 4 year olds – 30 hours
30 hours free funding each week for 38 weeks per year is available for working families. If you use the childcare choices website (see above) and you find you are eligible. All we need is the code that it produces so we can claim it via our local authority system.
With all the above funding options, unfortunately we don’t offer just sessional hours, so any additional hours over the set free hours, additional weeks over the 38 weeks, or consumables are to be paid for by the parent. This is reflected in the monthly invoice that is
sent out to parents.
Tax credits for childcare
The tax credits for working families and if eligible could pay up to 70% of childcare costs. Check your eligibility using the website at the top of this page.
Universal credit for childcare
For working families claiming universal credit and if eligible could pay up to 85% of childcare costs. Check your eligibility using the website at the top of this page.
Tax free childcare
For every £8 you pay in, the government will automatically add £2, up to the value of £2000 per year per child (or £4000 for disable children).
Unfortunately you can’t use Tax-Free Childcare together with:
- Tax credits
- Universal credits
- Childcare vouchers
